Partner vs Employee

If your name is not on every document from the beginning...you are not a partner in business.
You are an employee or a volunteer--and if you make partner contributions either with finances, ideas or materials---STOP! NOW!

It is like this:
If you have a lease on an apartment or a mortgage on a house--its is yours. No one whose name is not on that lease can get your landlord to give them the key. A person must have their name on the lease in order for the landlord to talk to them...right?

likewise, in business the State Filling Office is the landlord(so-to-speak)if you are a partner, your name must be on every document or they will not talk to you. Those documents are like the lease or ownership of your company. It is your key.

If you have no key...you can be put out.

HVAC

Bay Area Studios is a venture that combines public benefit with characteristics traditionally associated with for-profit enterprise, such as innovation, efficiency and financial return.
This is called a:
business/social "hybrid value-added chain" (HVAC).

In practice, this means that Bay Area Studios has created an entity that is both:

for-profit and non-profit. The for-profit area of the organization provides a low-cost service to people and maintain modest profit margins.

As the organization serves more people and achieves an economy of scale, the profits help subsidize the service for people who cannot afford it. This practice is nearly identical to other professions that provide high-value services to clients who can pay for it, while providing free service for clients who cannot afford the high fees.

A typical law firm requires its lawyers to do some pro bono work for the poor and destitute.

Script Writing Round I

First step of the script writing is finished. The plot is fully developed. The characters and stage directions are established. And the scenery is decided.

We are pleasantly exhausted.

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR II

A social entrepreneur takes all the elements of social life – sensitivity to people’s needs, long-term relationships, and a commitment to bring out the best in everyone – and applies business skills to them.

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR

People now want not only a fair wage but a meaningful job, one where they have true friends, free time, room for creativity, and, most importantly, the ability to grow in the company.

Hence, some say; following your bliss has become the alternative to making a living. You may not earn as much money by following your bliss, but at least you are happy.

Follow your bliss or make a living. A tough choice to be sure, however, it is also an increasingly false choice. It is increasingly possible now to follow your bliss and make a living by
becoming a social entrepreneur.

STARTING A BUSINESS

When you and your partners are in the talking stage of developing a business, put everything on paper(OPERATING AGREEMENT).
Document everything.
Decide in writing who will have what percentage and decide in writing how decisions will be made.

If it is not written, it does not exist. And if it does not exist--you got nothing.

If you choose not to document then I suggest:

Pay close attention to everything your partners say, write and present.

save receipts, brochures and fliers.

save reports, brainstorming projects and plans.

save all notes(yours and your partners)—even the ones that are hand written and did not make it to the computer.

Save planning modules, statements, invoices and curriculum.

Learn how to communicate with agencies, don’t allow your partners to have the experience only.
Learn all elements of your business—not just your current task.

Learn all the positions within your business so to perform them precisely all by yourself.

KNOW EVERYTHING!!
FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK, FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM

The LESS you know--the LESS you have. The LESS you have--the LESS of a partner you are.

LISTEN TO COUNSEL

You must have counsel to succeed
A wise business owner has Counsel for business decisions

A wise person has Counsel for personal decisions
You must be transparent enough to be visible to your counsel so counsel can provide sound advice based on facts given

You must have people who love you enough to tell you when you are wrong

or

when you are on your way to make a terrible mistake or a bad business/personal decision

And you have to be willing to submit to that counsel
You must have the courage to do so

Without counsel you fail
Not listening to counsel makes you look like a fool

And make a disgrace of you, your name, your life and you business

Show me someone who is destroyed and living a failing life,

and

I’ll show you someone without counsel

Another Testimony!

All praise be to God!

I have been off of my pain controlling medications prescribed by my Dr.

for a few months now. And there is no pain.

For the diagnosis given stated;
"you need an operation or be medicated forever."

There was no operation. And there is no pain!

The Dr. was speechless.

DIE HARD

When your character is assassinated,

it means:

You can not be beaten.

You can not be knocked off.

You can not be removed.

You can not loose.

You can not be stopped.

You can not go away.

You can not be destroyed.

Everyone of those bullets goes back to the sender.

It is

THE UNFAILING/UNCHANGEABLE LAW

And...that is all they got. They are out of bullets.

Bless them and

like Obama...keep movin'!
